I'm very happy to have found such a great place for car servicing or repairs so close to home and easily contacted for an appointment thanks to their great online service options (setting up the appointment, even getting reminders to avoid forgetting the appointment). It's great for someone who can be at odds with standard working hours and poor at remembering to call during those hours. I like the key-drop option too for those of us who have different hours. The business is convenient to home and bus/train commute stops as well. Total win for me. I've always been happy with the service and convenience. And the guys who work there are great too!
They charged me $100 just to diagnose my car. They gave me an estimate of $1500 to fix the problem. I took it to the Meinike down the road instead and got it fixed there for half the price.
Called to get a quote for some work, gave my name and phone number, they said they'd call me back... that was yesterday. It hadn't dawned on me until I woke up this morning upset, that I had called Sherwood Auto Repair last time I needed work done and never heard back from them that time either!
I've never had any work done by them, but I assure you I will never. If you feel my pain, then heed my words.
Went here a little over a year ago and had my fans fixed. They changed my oil without my go ahead (so I thought) so I paid anyway. Went to change my oil a few weeks ago and realized, they never actually changed my oil and gave me a mileage sticker that was inaccurate. I've been driving my car about 20,000 miles over an oil change. Numerous things could have gone wrong with my car, thank god it didn't. Do not recommend their scrumminess.
I first knew this shop as an account while I was an enterprise employee. So I've heard lots of customer feed back about them and they are overwhelmingly good. Once I took my car there for a window motor replacement and they accidentally broke my window. They immediately called me to tell me they are taking full responsibility for that which they then replaced for free. A lot of shops could have said the window broke and there was no avoiding it, or the window was already broken. But SAR didn't. They were honest and that's why I'll always go back.
The group I've had a ton of success with is the team at Clutch and Break Doctors of Beaverton, but they also have a Lake O location too now. You'd probably be surprised with what all they do and it's the best price and they do it FAST!
