Rules. Lots of rules. Sites really close together, our steps were inches away from the neighbors sewer drain. No place to sit outside your rig. Not dog friendly. Rules and more rules. Leaf blower ALL day long. Lots of rules. Not a pleasant place to stay. I do not recommend.
Before you book here ask yourself this question: what is longer, a 39 ft piece of licorice or a 39 ft trailer? If you answered that they are the same length....read on. We booked a reservation here as part of our yearly camping trip with our family for the Fourth of July and we were disappointed to have had to deal with the woman behind the counter at this resort. When we booked in advance, we had notified the woman that our trailer was 39ft plus a dually truck pulling it. When we pulled up the woman nearly lost her mind about how "you will never fit that in here", "the person who booked this should have known there was a flat deck attached", "we have no space for something that long" etc. What she had convinced herself of was that although our trailer length is in fact 39ft, our living space is only 26ft. The extended deck threw her for a loop. So, on the Fourth of July during supper time, we had to panic and book another site at another resort because she was convinced we wouldn't fit and wouldn't let us in. We had to use our phone and ask her for names of places because she DID NOT offer to help in anyway. The woman definitely should not be doing that job.
Most of the parking area's are in full sun. Stores are not close by. No access to the river. Found other places with better amenities at the same price.
Stayed last Christmas. A great place. Saw ducks, geese, heard the river, love the trees. It feels like being in the forest :-D And the lady in the office was very friendly and so nice.
Bottom line. Do NOT bring anything longer than 29ft here or the blonde at the counter will lose her mind with confusion.
Oh and we did NOT have a problem with the people at Pheasant Ridge RV Resort and booking the proper site. Check in was fast and very helpful. The site was clean and easy to access.
This is a cute well maintained park just on the outskirts of the city/country. It's cityish so there are plenty of restaurants in uber distance, and its on a river. The only down side to this super cool hybrid to camping is that there are no camp fires allowed. You can use a charcoal grill, but no camp fire. It's a great place to use as a wine tasting basecamp if you can live without the campfire. Showers, laundry were great, clean and convenient.
